JOJO'S Kitchen & Bar began in 2018 with a simple idea shared between two sisters: create a place that serves bold comfort food, unforgettable cocktails, and warm, genuine hospitality. What started as a leap of faith quickly became one of Suffolk’s most loved independent restaurants - earning Best Newcomer Restaurant and Best New Business of the Year in our very first year.
As JOJO'S grew, so did our community. We expanded into our own dedicated delivery hub in Pakefield, proudly serving the whole of Lowestoft and surrounding areas with the flavours people know and love.
In 2025, JOJO'S was honoured with a TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Award, placing us in the top 10% of restaurants worldwide - a moment that meant the world to our team and our town.
Today, we’re proudly settled at the former Harbour Inn - transformed into a fresh, vibrant home for everything JOJO'S stands for. The name may be evolving, but the heart stays the same: soulful food, warm service, and a whole lot of Scoot spirit.
Our name honors two remarkable JO'S: Joseph Flood, a 19th-century printer who once ran his business from our original High Street venue - and our foster sister Joanna Simms, who passed away from Cystic Fibrosis in 2004 aged just 29.
JOJO'S is a tribute to legacy, love, and the spirit of creativity. The name felt right, and the rest, as they say, is history.
